This project, its client and its outcome are invented for a concept by Artlogic.
The brief
We wanted a printed thing for ourselves: twelve months, twelve noises, set in two colours and a grey.
The idea
Every month has a noise and every noise has a texture. The texture is the page: grain made by hand, not by filter.
The making
We drew the grain with hundreds of small marks and kept the set as vector plates. The layout has one rule: text never sits on texture.
What it is
A publication that exists as a design only. No print run, no sales, no readers claimed.
Plates
Twelve months March: hiss Dial
Reel: not part of this preview.
Process reel
A short reel of the plates being made (fictional; no real client footage).
