This project, its client and its outcome are invented for a concept by Artlogic.
The brief
A volunteer club needed one look for caps, flags and a noticeboard, with no budget for photography.
The idea
The tide table is the pattern. Each day becomes a bar whose height is the water and whose colour is the temperature band, so the club flag is also a calendar.
The making
We drew a bar system on a grid of twelve slots and tuned the cobalt so it still reads on a wet cap in grey light. The wordmark leans slightly into the tide.

Four templates volunteers can fill in with a marker. A fictional club, a fictional sea.
