Approach

Our approach

Four stages. Each ends with something you can decide on, and each can be the last one you buy.

1. DecideEnds withA decision statement, agreed bythe sponsor2. UnderstandEnds withA fact base of a few pages3. ChooseEnds withA chosen option and the reasons4. Hand overEnds withA plan your team owns
The only diagram on the site, because the order matters.

Decide: Write the decision down.

One sentence for the decision, one name for the owner, one date. This takes a week, sometimes less. If you cannot write it, we help you find it.

Ends with A decision statement, agreed by the sponsor

Understand: Collect only the facts that change the choice.

We use what you hold and a handful of conversations. For each fact we ask whether the choice would change if it were different. If not, we skip it.

Ends with A fact base of a few pages

Choose: Set out options with what each gives up.

Two or three options. Each with its cost, its risks and what it makes harder. A session with the full team to choose.

Ends with A chosen option and the reasons

Hand over: Leave your team able to run it.

A plan with owners and dates, a weekly rhythm and a review at 30, 60 and 90 days. We step back as your people step forward.

Ends with A plan your team owns

What we will not do

  • Write a report longer than it needs to be.
  • Recommend something we have not tested against your numbers.
  • Take work we think someone else would do better.
  • Name a client without their written agreement. This concept has none.
