Capabilities

Four processes, a short list of materials and the limits we work within. All figures are illustrative.

Processes

Processes, envelopes and typical tolerances (illustrative)
ProcessWhat it coversEnvelopeToleranceRoughness
MillingThree-axis and five-axis milling of blocks, plates and prismatic parts. Pockets, channels, faces, holes and threads in one set-up where possible.up to 400 × 250 × 150 mm±0.02 mm typical; ±0.01 mm on requestRa 1.6 µm typical
TurningCNC turning from bar, up to diameter 120 mm. External and internal threads, grooves, cross holes with live tooling.up to diameter 120 × 300 mm±0.01 mm typicalRa 0.8 µm typical
Mill-turnRound parts with milled features, finished in one set-up so features stay concentric.up to diameter 80 × 200 mm±0.015 mm typicalRa 0.8 µm typical
FinishingDeburring, bead blast, passivation, anodising and black oxide through a partner, listed on the quote.as abovecoating thickness added to dimensions on requestdepends on finish

Batch sizes and lead times

Batch sizes and lead times
QuantityLead timeTypical for
1 to 10 piecesAbout 8 to 12 working days (example)Prototypes and first articles
11 to 100 piecesAbout 10 to 15 working days (example)Small series
101 to 1000 piecesAbout 15 to 25 working days (example)Repeat parts; schedule agreed on the quote

Typical tolerances are what we aim for on an ordinary feature. Tighter values are quoted case by case. Nothing here describes a measured capability study.
