Concept project — fictional brand

Story

A small label that cuts in small runs and talks as little as it can.

Small runs

Each piece is cut in a run of a hundred or fewer. When a size sells out, it sells out; the next run is a different run.

Heavy cloth

We buy linen heavy and wool soft. Heavy linen creases in a way that looks deliberate, and soft wool is the reason you wear a coat all winter.

Seams in sight

We do not hide the work. Seams are turned twice and stitched in plain sight, and the inside of a Salkem coat looks like the outside.

Say it once

The copy on this site is short on purpose. The clothes are the loud part.

Salkem is a fictional label. The people, the studio and the runs described here do not exist.
