FAQ
Plain answers. The short one: this is a fictional festival.
Is Voltbloom a real festival?
No. Voltbloom is a fictional festival invented for a concept project by Artlogic. The artists, places, dates and prices on this site are made up. There is nothing to buy and no event to attend.
Can I buy a ticket?
No. The ticket page is a demonstration of how choosing a ticket could work. It shows example prices, adds up an example total and then stops. No order is placed, no payment details are asked for and nothing you type is stored.
Are the artists real?
The artists are fictional. Their names, biographies and home cities are invented, and the portraits are abstract generated graphics, never photographs of anyone.
What is “my festival”?
It is your personal shortlist. Press the star on any set in the timetable and it is saved in this browser only, using local storage. The timetable flags sets that overlap so you can choose between them. Clear your browser data and it is gone.
How do I use the timetable without a mouse?
Every filter is a real button or checkbox that works with Tab, Space and Enter. The grid is a proper table with row and column headings, and there are two other views: a flat table and a day list made for phones.
What do the four stage shapes mean?
Mainframe is a circle, Greenhouse a triangle, Substation a square and Aperture a bloom. Shapes always appear next to the stage name, so you never have to rely on colour to tell them apart.
Is the venue accessible?
In this fictional plan, every stage has step-free access, there is a raised viewing platform at Mainframe, quiet seating by the Greenhouse and a sensory rest area near the entrance. Details for a real event would be confirmed in advance.
What should I bring?
In this fictional world: ear protection (free earplugs at every entrance), a refillable bottle, sun cream and comfortable shoes. Bags are limited to a small daypack.
Do you track visitors?
Nothing optional runs unless you allow it in the cookie settings of the concept bar. The shortlist stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Who made this?
Artlogic, as a showcase of what a festival website could be. You can return to the Artlogic showcase from the bar at the top of every page.
