About Hushwire

Security advice is often delivered as a warning. We think it works better as a conversation. Our job is to help you see what is already fragile, in plain words, and to leave you with a short list of what to do first.

Four principles

Calm
We do not use fear. If something is urgent we say so once, clearly.
Plain
No acronyms without a sentence about what they mean.
Small
Short reports, short lists, one owner per action.
Honest
We say what we looked at and what we did not. We do not promise outcomes.

How an engagement goes

  1. 1Talk

A 30-minute call about how your business works. You choose what is in scope and what is not.

  2. 2Look

We review what you give us access to, with your written agreement: settings, lists, policies, how things are done. We do not scan your systems unless you ask in writing and scope it together.

  3. 3Hand over

A short written report in plain language, ordered by what to do first, and a call to walk through it.

What we do not do

We do not run scans without a written scope. We do not collect passwords. We do not publish anything about our clients. We do not claim certifications, because this is a concept and we hold none.

The team (fictional)

These people are fictional and have no photographs on purpose.

  • Mara Veltz

    Founder, lead reviewer

Likes lists, hates jargon, writes the first draft of every report.

  • Teodor Olsen

    Reviewer, backups and devices

Believes in restoring something every quarter just to be sure.

  • Ines Karlova

    Facilitator, people and process

Runs the table-top rehearsals and the staff briefings.
